Parkinson's Care

In-home support that adjusts to a Parkinson's day — slow mornings, freezing episodes, dyskinesia, falls. Steady help that doesn't rush.

Caregiver supporting senior with Parkinson's on a safe, paced walk outdoors

Parkinson's disease has rhythms — the slow morning, the medication windows, the freezing episodes when an open doorway feels impossible. Our referred caregivers work at the pace of the person, not the pace of the clock. We support mobility, encourage prescribed exercise routines, watch for falls, and time daily activities around when medications are working.

What's included

  • Mobility assistance during freezing episodes, dyskinesia, and tremor
  • Cues and gentle physical guidance for safe transfers and ambulation
  • Timing of meals, hygiene, and activities around your loved one's medication windows
  • Light exercise encouragement (LSVT BIG-style movements, stretching) per their PT plan
  • Speech and swallowing safety — slower pace at meals, watching for aspiration risk
  • Fall prevention modifications and immediate response to falls
  • Coordination with neurologist, physical therapist, and family

Special Needs Registry: If you or your loved one has a medical condition or disability that may require assistance during a hurricane or emergency, we will help you register with the Volusia County Special Needs Registry.
