The S.U.N. Assessment
Wise care starts with
knowing the person.
Before any caregiver crosses the threshold, we learn three things about your loved one — and build the care plan around them.
S
Smile
What makes them happy. The music, the routines, the small joys that make a day feel like their own — so care preserves the life, not just the schedule.
U
Understanding
Their health story, in plain language. The conditions, the patterns, the things to watch for — so the right caregiver arrives already informed.
N
Needs
What would genuinely improve quality of life — not a generic checklist. Care is matched to the person, then refined visit after visit.
Every S.U.N. assessment is reviewed by our RN Administrator — a licensed Florida Registered Nurse — before care begins.
What we do
Care matched to the day,
the person, and the moment.

The TrustWise standard
Trust, earned in
1/7
steps.
Every caregiver we refer clears all seven — before they're ever introduced to your family. Scroll the list.
Step 1
Application & in-person interview
Experience, temperament, and the question that matters most: would we welcome this person into our own parent's home?
Step 2
Level 2 AHCA background screening
Fingerprint-based, FBI and FDLE checked, state-cleared through the AHCA Clearinghouse — Florida's strictest screening tier.
Step 3
Credential verification
A valid Florida CNA certificate, or documented completion of 40+ hours of HHA training from an approved Florida program.
Step 4
CPR certification check
Current, hands-on CPR certification — verified, not self-reported.
Step 5
Communicable disease clearance
Current health statement on file before any in-home referral.
Step 6
Reference verification
We call. We ask the uncomfortable questions. Patterns matter more than polish.
Step 7
RN Administrator file review
A licensed Florida Registered Nurse personally reviews every credential file. Only then is a referral offered.
Start where you are
Who needs care?
Most of our first calls come from a son or daughter — often after a fall, a diagnosis, or a hard weekend. We'll listen first, explain your options in plain English, and never pressure a decision.
Talk it through — freeA note from our founder
Why TrustWise exists.
If you're reading this late at night, worried about someone you love — I built TrustWise for exactly this moment.
Families deciding on home care deserve a calmer, clearer experience than the one most of them get: stressful phone calls, opaque pricing, and a different stranger every visit. We built the opposite — one honest rate written right on the homepage, caregivers vetted like we were hiring for our own parents, and a real person who answers the phone.
You don't have to figure this out alone. Call us. Even if we're not the right fit, you'll leave the call knowing your options.

For the family
You'll know.
Always.
The worry is the hardest part — so we built the answer to “did everything go okay today?” into how we operate.
You'll know when care starts and how the visit went — arrival confirmation when your caregiver reaches the door, and a plain-English update after the visit. No app required, no portal password your dad will lose.

Our founding principle
Trust, but verify.
Every home care website asks for your trust. We think you deserve more than promises — so we built home care you can check. These are the three questions families ask most, answered both ways.
“Who exactly is coming into my parent's home?”
Trust
Every caregiver we refer is Level 2 fingerprint background-screened through Florida's AHCA Clearinghouse, license-verified with the state, CPR-certified, health-cleared, and reference-checked — before any referral happens.
Verify
Ask us for the screening and license verification of any caregiver we refer — we'll show you, on the spot. Their credentials are re-checked continuously, not just on hire day.
“What happens if the caregiver doesn't show up?”
Trust
You'll see the same familiar face visit after visit — and every client also has a named backup caregiver who already knows the routine, so a sick day never becomes a crisis.
Verify
Arrivals are GPS-verified at the door. If a caregiver is running late, our system flags it in minutes and you hear it from us first — not from your mom, hours later.
“What will it really cost me?”
Trust
One flat $34 an hour for personal, companion, and homemaker care. No weekend surcharge, no evening surcharge, no holiday surcharge, no registration fee.
Verify
The price is published right here on this website — not hidden behind a consultation call. One simple bill covers everything, and we walk you through every line before care starts.
More questions deserve straight answers — read all of them here, or call (386) 585-7977 and ask a person.
Common questions
The questions families
ask first.
A Florida nurse registry is a state-licensed business that refers credentialed independent-contractor caregivers — like CNAs and Home Health Aides — to families who need non-medical care at home. Unlike a home health agency, the caregiver contracts directly with the client, which keeps costs lower and gives families a more consistent, personal relationship with the same caregiver over time. Both nurse registries and home health agencies are licensed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), but only home health agencies are authorized to provide skilled nursing services like wound care or IV therapy.
Just tell your coordinator and we'll refer a different caregiver — no awkward conversation required on your end. Personality fit matters, and we'd rather make a change quickly than have anyone feel uncomfortable in their own home.
No. Our flat rate is $34 per hour for standard personal care, companion, and homemaker services — every day, every hour. The only services priced separately are 24/7 live-in arrangements.
Speed matters, especially around a hospital discharge. Call us at (386) 585-7977 and we'll move as quickly as your situation requires — starting with a free in-home consultation, then matching you with the right caregiver. Timing depends on your schedule and caregiver availability in your area.
No. Florida nurse registries are not Medicare-certified — Medicare only covers care provided by Medicare-certified home health agencies, and only for medically necessary skilled services. We're happy to explain your options, including private pay, VA benefits, LTC insurance, and Medicaid waivers.
Always. Call (386) 585-7977 — phones are answered 7 days a week, and online inquiries get a call back within 15 minutes (7am–9pm daily). You'll never be routed to a phone tree.
Every caregiver we refer has cleared a Level 2 AHCA background screening, holds current CPR certification, has documented communicable-disease clearance, and either holds a valid Florida CNA certificate or has documented completion of at least 40 hours of Home Health Aide training from an approved Florida program. We also verify professional references.
